Electrical service FAQ
What should I do if the power trips repeatedly?
If a breaker or protective device trips repeatedly, avoid repeatedly forcing it back on. Note what was running, which part of the property is affected and arrange electrical troubleshooting.
What is the difference between an RCB, RCCB and MCB?
These names refer to different protective functions and devices found in electrical installations. An electrician can identify the device in your DB and diagnose why it is operating.
Can a flickering light be a wiring problem?
Yes. Flicker can come from the lamp, driver, fitting, connection, switch, circuit or supply. Troubleshooting should identify the cause before parts are replaced.
When is rewiring considered?
Rewiring may be discussed when wiring is aged, damaged, altered unsafely, repeatedly faulting or being changed as part of a renovation or load upgrade. The actual scope should be assessed on site.
Can I WhatsApp photos of an electrical fault?
Yes, when it is safe to take the photo without touching exposed or damaged electrical parts. Photos of the DB, switch, socket or light can help explain the issue before attendance.
Do you take emergency electrician enquiries at night?
The enquiry line is positioned for 24/7 emergency electrical contact. Call directly for urgent power faults or safety concerns.
Do you service HDB, condo and commercial properties?
Electrical service enquiries can be submitted for HDB flats, condominiums, landed homes, offices and commercial premises across Singapore.
Can you help with LED profile and lighting installation?
Yes, the lighting service page covers light replacement, fixtures, LED profile lighting and related electrical point enquiries.
What information should I send for a faster quotation?
Send your area, property type, the electrical problem, when it started, what is affected and clear photos where safe and relevant.
Does every electrical job need the same approval or licence scope?
No. Requirements depend on the work involved. The appropriate scope, approvals and licensed-worker involvement should be confirmed for the actual job before work starts.
